Brian Ohorilko, while representing the Racing and Gaming Commission, says that the revenues for the last fiscal year were at the top in the history of the State Casino. This year the State Casino has earned approximately $1.5 billion, and the gross income is $412 that is greater than the last fiscal year. The number of attendants has been increased up to 860,000 compared to the last year of the pandemic. When there was a slump in all the industries, casinos and bars were also not safe. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the gross revenue of the State Casino was $412 million lower than this fiscal year. In addition, Ohorilko claims that the entertainment industry of casinos and bars was getting improved over time before the crises of the COVID-19 pandemic. It is higher than the previous fiscal year’s gross revenue of $0.51 billion. So it shows a growth of 33%.
There was a slight increase or decrease in the revenues of the casinos and bars from 2014 to 2020. Even the casinos were facing a fewer number of visitors before the pandemic. But due to COVID-19, the casino industry has faced many issues, including a reduction in gross revenues. Only a few people were getting the facilities of casinos that were available by the federal services. Moreover, the casino industry fired a large number of employees in a pandemic period.
